62. Rewards paid for meritorious service to members of the public amounted to $6,325.30. Police personnel received $2,155.00 as rewards for outstanding performance of duty.

HOUSING AND BUILDINGS

65. Senior Officers are mainly housed in non-departmental quarters but there are 23 departmental quarters available for holders of certain duty posts. There are 296 departmental quarters available for 398 married junior officers. Priority in the allocation of married quarters for junior officers is given to overseas officers.

66. Of the 211 local junior officers who are married 113 are housed in departmental quarters.

67. Details of new buildings and quarters are given at paragraphs 33 to 39. Other details are given at Appendix 8.
