HOUSING AND BUILDINGS

77. Senior Officers are mainly housed in non-departmental quarters, but there are 20 departmental quarters available for holders of certain duty posts. There are 298 departmental quarters available for 386 married junior officers. Priority in the allocation of married quarters for junior officers is given to overseas officers.

78. Of the 206 local junior officers who are married 114 are housed in departmental quarters.

79. Details of new buildings and quarters are given at paragraphs 40-44. With the addition of the Tin Kwong Road quarters the total number now available for married Other Ranks is 2,806. Further details are given at Appendix 8.
