175. The fees collected during the year amounted to $301,632. Particulars are given in Table XLI.

NEW LEGISLATION

Land Office

176. The Crown Lease (Pok Fu Lam) Ordinance 1966 provided for the preparation by the Director of Public Works of a plan indicating the position of the various lots included in the Pok Fu Lam Village Block Crown Lease, the plan of which is missing, believed to have been lost during the Japanese occupation of the Colony during the war. Subject to any amendments by the Court on the application of persons claiming an interest in land comprised in the plan, the plan is to be deemed for all purposes to be the original plan.

177. The Land Office (New Territories) Fees Rules (Validation) Ordinance 1967 provided that the Land Office (New Territories) Fees Rules and all rules amending the same, which had from 1911 onwards purported to have been made under the New Territories Ordinance instead of under the Land Registration Ordinance, should be deemed to have been made under the latter Ordinance, and validated all things already done under the said Rules.

Companies

178. The Companies (Prevention of Evasion of the Societies Ordin- ance) Ordinance 1959 was extended for a further period of one year with effect from 1st January 1967 by a resolution of the Legislative Council passed on the 21st day of December 1966.

179. The Companies (Forms) (Amendment) Order 1966 amended the Companies (Forms) Order by deleting the provision requiring the authentication by British officials of certain matters in connexion with the certification of documents to be delivered to the Registrar by companies incorporated outside the Colony under the laws of a foreign country.
