25. One licence to keep a local or branch Share Register was granted under Section 103 of the Ordinance.

Money-Lenders

26. Eight Money-Lenders licences were issued under the Money- Lenders Ordinance (Cap. 163).

Deposits by Fire, Marine, and Life Insurance Companies

27. The deposits made by Insurance Companies with the Registrar of Companies under the Fire and Marine Insurance Companies Deposit Ordinance (Cap. 34), and those made under the Life Insurance Com- panies Ordinance (Cap. 36) are shown in Tables X and XI respectively.

Chinese Partnerships Ordinance (Cap. 31)

28. No partnerships have been registered under the Chinese Partnerships Ordinance since the war. Only twenty one Chinese Partnerships have ever been registered, the last registration being in 1934.

Limited Partnerships Ordinance (Cap. 37)

29. Only two Limited Partnerships have been registered since the war, one in 1946 and one in 1948. Before the war there were only two registrations, one in 1913 and one in 1919.

Fees

30. The fees collected totalled $786,948.27, a decrease of over $73,000 as compared with the previous year. Capital fees paid by new companies increased by $210,000 as compared with 1956/57, but other
