other five to be handled by outside trustees. As regards com- pulsory liquidations of companies five other cases from previous years were current, (in addition to the three new cases in which Winding Up Orders were made during the year) the Official Receiver acting as liquidator in three of these including the case of the China Industrial Bank of Hong Kong Limited a particularly difficult case due to the uncertainty of the position with regard to its constitution and management.
Fees.
32. The Official Receiver's Fees and Commission charged during the year amounted to $2,662.98.
33. The funds held by the Official Receiver at the close of the year amounted to $1,834,904.82 as follows:-

34. The Official Receiver's Office continues to be much handicapped in the proper discharge of its functions by shortage of Staff but it is hoped that the position will be remedied in the near future.
