Companies Registration.
19. During 1951/52, 248 new companies were incorporated in Hong Kong, and 30 Certificates of Compliance with the provisions of Part XI of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 32) were issued to foreign corporations which had established a place of business within the Colony. These figures represent increases of 62 and 8 respectively over the comparable figures for 1950/51.
20. The numbers of companies incorporated in Hong Kong during the years 1946/47 to 1951/52 and the total nominal capital of such companies were as follows:

21. As at 31st March, 1952, the total number of companies on the Register of Companies incorporated in Hong Kong was 2,538, and the total number of foreign corporations which have established a place of business in Hong Kong and complied with the provisions of Part XI of the Ordinance was 450.
