MARRIAGE REGISTRY
16. The number of marriages celebrated in the Colony during 1951/52 was 2,111, of which 1,776 were between Chinese, as compared with 2,051 and 1,751 respectively in the previous year. Particulars are given in Table IX infra.
17. The total amount of fees received was $19,915—an increase of $334.00 as compared with 1950/51. Particulars are shown in Table X.
18. The numbers of marriages solemnized and the total amounts of fees collected during the ten years 1936-1939 and 1946/47-1951/52 are shown in Table XI.
