Resettlement Officers. During the year the following changes occurred at the Assistant Commissioner level or above:

In September, Mr. B. D. WILSON, Administrative Officer, Staff Grade ‘C",

was appointed Assistant Commissioner for Resettlement.

In March 1965, Mr. J. T. WAKEFIELD, Administrative Officer, Staff Grade 'B', was appointed Commissioner for Resettlement in place of Mr. D. C. BARTY, O.B.E. who proceeded on leave in March.

One of the department's Resettlement Officers, Mr. LEUNG Chung-yau, was awarded the M.B.E. during the year.

101. During the year under review the Departmental Sports and Welfare Association held various sporting activities and social gatherings.

102. The Morrison Scholarship Fund, established in 1963 in honour of Mr. C. G. M. MORRISON, past President of the Association, began functioning during the year, when the first group of seven beneficiaries selected from amongst the children of junior staff received grants of $50.00 for the school term 1964-65.

VISITORS

103. H.E. the Governor, Sir David TRENCH, K.C.M.G., M.C. visited the department and various estates on 22nd June, 1964. The following distinguished persons, in chronological order, were among the overseas visitors during the year:
