completed, and 12 resettlement blocks, and one factory under construc- tion. Total accommodation in the 114 domestic blocks constructed consists of 48,889 standard size habitable rooms, of which 4,539 rooms have been let as shops, and 347 are self-contained flats.
123. Receipts for the year ending 31st March, 1960 amounted to $9,082,846. Of this sum permit fees in the cottage areas amounted to $1,049,892, rents from Government-owned cottages to $276,680, and the net rents received in the multi-storey estates, after payment of rates and water charges, to $7,756,274. Particulars of the expenditure and revenuc on resettlement for the eight-year period from 1st April, 1952 to 31st March, 1960, are attached as an appendix to this Chapter.
