32. Serious Music on Radio Hong Kong occupied over 25% of the programme output of the English Service during 1971. This amounted to a total of around 50 hours each week. About one-third of this output is on both the AM and FM transmissions, but the remainder utilizes a separate transmission on FM, in both the mornings and the evenings of every day of the week. A detailed schedule listing the forthcoming month's music programme is mailed to over 2,000 enthusi- astic listeners and the programmes are also published in the Chinese magazine 'Hi Fi Musical Life', which claims a circulation of 10,000.

33. The weekly Recital from the Concert Hall', provides studio recitals for many local artists and distinguished visitors. Artists of international standing were also broadcast regularly. The London Symphony Orchestra, Yehudi MENUHIN and Louis KENTNER, the RAF Central Bank, the Stuttgart Youth Chamber Orchestra, the Amphion Ensemble, the Cegledy Duo, the Zsigmondi duo, Liza FUCHSOVA, Rosalyn TURECK, Nikita MAGALOFF, Michael PONTI, Raffi PETROSSIAN, Leon SPIERER, Peter COOPER, Walter HAUTZIG, Hanno BLASCHKE and Azusu Fukita, all broadcast over Radio Hong Kong during 1971.
