information Radio Hong Kong broadcasts two special programmes in Cantonese "To Know Hong Kong's Industry' and 'Industrial and Com- mercial Weekly'. The former programme consists of accounts of visits to factories by the producer and his assistants in which the processes of manufactured articles are followed from the raw material to the finished products. During the year the series covered such items as metal window frames, rubber shoes, torches and batteries, men's suiting, costume jewellery, paint, shoes, flour and many other items. 'Industrial and Commercial Weekly' contains reports about trade exhibitions both in Hong Kong and overseas, trade situations and regulations for importers and exporters and the general economic and industrial growth of the Colony. Extracts from reports of banks and industrial organiza- tions are included, as well as comments and suggestions by leading industrialists.
22. Another industrial series comprised 13 dialogues under the title 'Management in Industry'. These programmes were prepared as a joint effort between the Hong Kong Management Association and Radio Hong Kong. They attracted considerable attention and included such subjects as "The Importance of Management', 'Good Relations with Workers', and 'Management Principles for Profitable Relationships', amongst several others. The series did much to promote the work of the Hong Kong Management Association and to explain the relation- ship between management and workers.
23. One of the highlights of the year for the farming community was the Agricultural Show which was staged at Sek Kong from the 11th to 17th December. A great many stalls by trade organizations were erected on a site at the end of the air-strip and a large number of farm animals and beasts were on display. Radio Hong Kong built a special stall at the Show from which frequent broadcasts were made. A daily round-up programme from the show ground was broadcast each evening and variety shows and radio comedies were also staged for public entertainment. One of the more popular programmes was a session of record requests in which members of the public chose their own music and were briefly interviewed in a 'live' broadcast from the stall.
24. 'Fisherman's Half-hour' continued to be broadcast during the year on Friday evenings at 9.15 p.m. This programme is designed to meet the needs of Hong Kong's large fishing community. Each edition contains special talks on a variety of subjects such as care and main- tenance of boats and diesel engines, the typhoon warning system and
