Educational television

Radio Hong Kong and the Education Department co-operated with Messrs. Electric and Musical Industries (Hong Kong) Ltd. to offer educationalists an opportunity to see how television can assist the teacher. An educational television unit was installed in the Technical College and a number of demonstration programmes was organized so that the potentials of the medium could be shown to invited teachers from schools throughout the Colony. The benefits of experience were passed on to an enthusiastic group of students in 'Meeting Point', in which leading personalities talked about their careers and philosophies. Sir Lindsay RIDE, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong, jokes with his youthful questioners during a rehearsal.
