170. Radio Hong Kong started to supply Radio Malaya with trans- criptions of Kuoyu and Cantonese programmes during the year.
Radio Austria
171. To publicize Hong Kong at the Vienna International Trade Fair at which the Colony participated in September, 1959, a quarter hour feature programme describing Hong Kong was written and produced in Austrian by Radio Hong Kong staff, and subsequently broadcast by Radio Austria.
Radio Suisse
172. Facilities were provided for recording and voicecasts to the New York correspondent of Radio Suisse during an extended visit to Hong Kong and the Far East.
Kol Israel
173. The correspondent of the Israel Broadcasting Organization, Kol Israel, used Radio Hong Kong facilities for recording despatches.
Rediffusion
174. Rediffusion relayed a considerable number of English and Chinese programmes from Radio Hong Kong, and joined forces with Radio Hong Kong for a number of charity programmes.
Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited
175. The HKCBC relayed English news bulletins from Radio Hong Kong, and together with Rediffusion, joined forces for the broadcasts of the Macau Grand Prix.
Radio Vila Verde
176. Radio Vila Verde again freely offered its facilities for the coverage of the Macau Grand Prix.
Radio Nederland
177. The Dutch radio organization provided some excellent trans- cribed programmes of light music which were used in the English Service.
Miscellaneous
178. Transcriptions from UNESCO, UN Radio and several Com- monwealth broadcasting organizations were included in the English Service.
