of new clinics at Wanchai and Tsun Wan, the new Li Shing School and Government School at Sha Tau Kok, the Urban Council Elections and many other subjects.
38. Special announcements on behalf of Government departments, charitable and social organizations were made, and air time given for appeals by recognized charities. These appeals and announcements were also made in English.
Drama
39. Radio plays were contributed regularly by some dozen dramatic societies. The most ambitious play, which was in rehearsal at the end of the year under review, was a translation into Cantonese of "The Master Builder" by Henrik Ibsen. This play was scheduled as part of the radio contribution to the Hong Kong Festival of the Arts and was an interesting and successful experiment.
Religious Broadcasts
40. A weekly religious service is broadcast by one of the following churches in rotation, the Roman Catholic Church, the Chinese Anglican Church, the Church of Christ in China, the Chinese Baptist Church and the Chinese Methodist Church. A weekly religious talk is also given by a member of the True Light Foundation.
