Sound equipment installations
88.
Equipment was constructed to utilize the FM SCA Channel as talkback circuit on the VHF link to Golden Hill AM Transmitting Station. This unit provided reliable ordering circuit especially during typhoon period.
89. Because of the replacing sound mixer being stereo capable, the continuity control room C2, C3 and Production control room S2 were rewired for stereo operation. Additional cables were added to Central Control Room and to Radio Room to handle stereo signals. Special measuring unit was constructed to detect phase error between channels.
90.
The Moseley STL UHF link transmitters operating on 944 MHz and 954 MHz were installed to replace the old STC link operating on 482 MHz and 452.0 MHz. These new links could handle stereo composite signals.
91. Modification to the Mt. Gough FM transmitter drivers was carried out to accept wide frequency bandwidth modulating signal. This would make the main transmitters ready for stereo broadcast.
