Gulleys of a new type have been constructed in the greater part of the lower levels of the City and it is proposed to extend them to the high levels. They are designed to intercept solid foreign matter as far as possible.

For the flushing tanks proposed to be con structed, the water required will be obtained from the nullahs. This is much more economical as it obviates pumping.
