In Singapore, where business is largely in the hands of Chinese, registration of partnerships in conner- tion with the administration of the bankruptcy laws has been urgently recommended,

My Committee strongly incline to the opinion that without registration of Chinese partnerships as an adjunct, the proposed new Bankruptey Ordinance would lose much in usefulness; and they beg to request that you would be good enough to bring their suggestion to the notice of His Excellency the Governor for his favourable consideration.
