1. Icicles formed on Lantau Island

on 24 January, the coldest day since 1957 with the mercury falling to 3.1 degrees. Sub-zero temperatures were recorded on high ground.

2. Long spells of clouds, fog and mist shrouded the city during the most humid April since 1961, with a monthly mean relative humidity of 89 per cent.
