Left: A new bus company took to the roads in Hong Kong during 1998, when New World First Bus began operations on September 1. At the end of the year, the company operated 61 local routes on Hong Kong Island and 32 cross-harbour routes. It had a registered fleet of 841, of which 378 were air-conditioned. Its fares ranged from $2.70 to $34.20.
