Aircraft nuzzle in on all sides of the new airport, which has much better facilities than Kai Tak. Initially, it will handle about 35 million passengers and 3 million tonnes of air cargo a year, rising to 87 million
passengers and 9 million tonnes of air cargo upon full development. The new airport will contribute significantly to Hong Kong's economic growth well into the next century.
