INTEGRATED MU Computer Literacy Today
In a drive to provide the skill levels that will be needed in the coming century, Hong Kong is installing new equipment and pushing ahead with computer education in schools (left and below).
As part of a major initiative to maintain and improve the standard of English, Hong Kong imported about 200 native- English-speaking teachers for secondary schools during 1998, one of whom is shown with her class at right. The continuing campaign will seek to recruit several hundred more similarly qualified teachers in 1999.
