Clockwise from left: Central District and many other parts of Hong Kong are festooned with lights and displays as part of celebrations to mark the reunification of Hong Kong with China in July; visitors admire a giant mooncake at the Food Expo held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre; age-old methods are used to prepare a Fire Dragon made of sticks for a ceremony during the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is one of the five major Chinese festivals marked in Hong Kong as occasions for family union and feasting. The others are the Lunar New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Ching Ming Festival in spring and Chung Yeung Festival on the ninth day of the ninth moon.
