The 132-foot brigantine returned to Hong Kong in May after achieving distinction in the first sail training tall ships' race in the Northern Pacific: Sail Osaka '97. Among other honours, Ji Fung - which means 'Spirit of Resolution' was the fastest tall ship to finish the month- long, 2 600-kilometre race from Hong Kong to Osaka via Okinawa and Kagoshima, and the Overall Winner

in its class.
