CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT
主席報告
Results for 1993
I am pleased to report that the
Company's bus operating profit
attributable to Shareholders for the
financial year ended 31 December 1993,
including the amount transferred from
the Development Fund of HK$29.8
million in accordance with the
provisions of the Profit Control Scheme,
amounted to HK$351.7 million (1992 -
HK$330.5 million). This represents an
increase of 6.4 percent as compared with
1992. Earnings per share for the year
were 87 cents (1992-82cents).
The Company's bus operating profit of
HK$351.7 million for the year fell short
of the permitted return by HK$1.3
million. Together with the amounts
brought forward from the previous years,
the accumulated shortfall was HK$42.8
million as at 31 December 1993. Subject
Government's agreement, the
to
shortfall is recoverable from the
Development Fund in subsequent years.
Dividend
一九九三年業績
本人欣然宣布,截至一九九三年十二月
三十一日止之財政年度,本公司股東應
佔巴士經營盈利為港幣三億五千一百七
十萬元(一九九二年為港幣三億三千零
五十萬元 ),其中包括根據盈利管制計
劃撥自發展基金之港幣二千九百八十萬
元,與一九九二年比較增長百份之六點
四。全年度每股盈利為八角七仙(一九
九二年爲八角二仙 )。
本公司之巴士經營盈利港幣三億五千一
百七十萬元,較許可盈利尙欠港幣一百
三十萬元,連同以往所欠數額,截至一
九九三年十二月三十一日止之累積欠額
為港幣四千二百八十萬元。倘獲政府同
意,該筆欠數將來可自發展基金中撥
股息
