Caring For Staff

A number of innovations were made during the year, reflecting our ongoing commitment to our corporate

missions of“Caring for people”and“Working

together". During the year, we began the practice of sending birthday greetings to members of staff.

Several hundred staff members were given long service awards in appreciation of their long and loyal service for 30 years or more. The Company has also begun to organise picnics for staff members. Six picnics were held in 1992, each attended by an average of 500 employees and their relatives.

Services for employees continue to include cafeterias at various depots and terminals, which provide wholesome food at reduced prices.

Medical services are also available to all staff. Our modern medical centre treated 70,000 patients free- of-charge during the year. In early 1993, the company introduced an additional welfare benefit, the group medical hospitalization insurance cover, for all employees. This medical plan enables all of our staff to receive medical care in private hospitals.

關懷員工

年內本公司實行多項創舉,反映本公司不斷致 力達成「關懷大衆」及「群策群力⌋之公司宗旨 本公司於本年度開始向員工寄發生日卡,數百 位工作三十年或以上之員工更獲頒發長期服務 獎,以表揚彼等長期忠誠服務。同時本公司亦 開始為員工舉辦旅行,一九九二年內共舉行六 次旅行,每次參加之員工及家屬平均達五百 人。為僱員提供之服務亦包括在各巴士車廠及 總站設立茶水部,以相宜價格提供有益健康之 食品。

此外,所有員工亦可享有醫療服務。年內本公 司之現代化醫療中心共為七萬名病人提供免費 診治。本公司已於一九九三年初推行另一項福 利,為所有僱員提供團體住院保險,此項醫療 計劃使本公司所有員工均可於私家醫院接受醫 療服務。
