Customer Awareness

A joint campaign to promote our racecourse routes was organized with the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club. Calendars incorporating information on bus routes were distributed, and information on KMB services was displayed on the large public information screen inside the Shatin racecourse.

Another campaign comprises the broadcasting of information on airport bus routes. Leaflets and mail were used to inform residents of Tai Koo Shing of the details of the new A5 airport bus route. Such information was also displayed inside MTR stations and at major bus stops.

In the summer, a promotional campaign with prizes for customers was launched to stimulate the use of

the 200 and 300 series of bus routes. These buses

provide a clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and economical alternative to the MTR and help alleviate

the congestion faced by MTR commuters in the morning peak hours.

Working Together

In compliance with our corporate mission, we continue to emphasize staff training and co-operative working methods. During the year, a training programme for office staff in supervisory roles commenced and senior company executives took part in seminars on Total Quality Management.

Internally, we have set up a new system to promote

closer co-ordination among departments. The “Bus- on-the-road Task Force" was created primarily to

facilitate planning and rapid response to operational

changes. Regular meetings are held between the Traffic, the Human Resources, the Service, and the Marketing, Planning and Development Departments. It is hoped that, through co-ordinated actions, we can

本公司與英皇御准香港賽馬會共同合作,進行 連串推廣九巴馬場路線之宣傳活動,其中包括 派發載有巴士路線之年曆咭以及在沙田馬場內 大型銀幕上顯示有關九巴服務之資料等。

在宣傳機場巴士路線方面,本公司利用派發單 張及郵寄函件之方式,向太古城居民介紹A5新 機場巴士路線。此外,各地鐵車站及本公司各 主要巴士站均張貼有關資料。

本公司會於夏季期間推出一項有獎推廣活動, 吸引乘客選搭200及300系列巴士路線。該等路 線之巴士提供清潔、舒適及有冷氣設備的車 廂,不但為市民提供地鐵以外另一項更經濟的 選擇,更能紓緩地鐵乘客每天在早上繁忙時間 所面對之擠迫問題。

群策群力

為貫徹九巴之服務宗旨,本公司不斷加強員工 的培訓及群策群力之工作方式,年內會爲主管 級職員開辦訓練課程,公司內高級行政人員亦 多次參與有關全面品質管理之研討會。

在內部運作方面,本公司設立新制度,以使各 部門更能緊密合作。「運作統籌委員會」之成 立,主要是協助策劃工作以及對業務運作上所 發生之轉變作出迅速回應。交通部、人力資源 部、工程部與市場拓展,策劃及發展部之間定 期開會,希望透過群策群力,本公司能在運作 效率上取得最佳成績,確保時常有足夠巴士及
