KMB has initiated a new programme to educate children about road safety. Two very interesting tools have been developed for this purpose. The engineers and technicians of KMB designed and constructed two "Smart Buses", which are believed to be the world's smallest buses capable of carrying passengers. The goal of programmes using these "Smart Buses" is to teach children the importance of road safety, the need to be aware of the dangers of playing near roads, the need to take care when crossing roads, as well as encouraging them to be courteous to other passengers. Since March 1991 a
larger "Professor Bus" has transported the two
other
"Smart Buses" to various venues that have been
organized by District Boards and organizations.
本公司已展開一項新計劃,向兒童灌輸道路安全知 識,並已就此推出兩項趣味盎然之教具。本公司之 工程師及技術人員設計及裝嵌了兩部「聰明巴 士」,相信該兩部巴士是世界上體積最小而能夠載 客之巴士。使用此兩部聰明巴士之計劃旨在教導兒 童有關道路安全之重要性,必須注意在馬路旁邊玩 耍之危險、橫過馬路時必須小心、以及鼓勵他們對 其他乘客要禮讓。自一九九一年三月開始,上述兩 部「聰明巴士」多次由一部大型之「巴士博士」運 載至由區議會及其他機構舉辦活動之各個地點。
