NEW KOWLOON BAY DEPOT
KMB's new depot at Kowloon Bay is now in full operation. The 21,470 square metres
site, acquired from the Government by private treaty grant, has been developed into a three storey bus depot and a four
storey office building with a total floor area
of 69,988 square metres. With 106
maintenance bays/pits and 394 parking
spaces, the new depot can provide
maintenance facilities for all the buses in East Kowloon.
Phase One of the construction, covering the refuelling and bus washing areas, was completed in mid January, 1990 and the
whole depot came on line last December. Maintenance activities undertaken in the
Kwun Tong depots have been moved to
Kowloon Bay, and when works to increase
the parking capacity at the former depots are completed in April, 1991, on-street parking in the Kwun Tong area will be eliminated.
九龍灣新車廠
九巴位於九龍灣之新車廠現正全面啟用。
該幅二萬一千四百七十平方米之土地乃
政府以私人協議方式批出,現已發展成爲
一幢三層高巴士車廠及四層高寫字樓之
建築物,其樓面總面積為六萬九千九百
八十八平方米。該新車廠有一百零六個
維修間/車坑及三百九十四個泊車位,
能爲東九龍所有巴士提供維修服務。
第一期興建工程,包括加油及巴士
清洗區,已於一九九零年一月中完成,
整個車廠已於去年十二月投入服務。
原先由觀塘車廠負責之維修工作已遷往 九龍灣車廠。當觀塘車廠增加泊車容量 之工程於一九九一年四月完成後,巴士 於觀塘區路邊停泊之情況將不復存在。
