The following changes of membership occurred during the year;
(1) On 10th May, 1958, Mr. J. P. Aserappa was appointed to act as Commissioner for
Resettlement, vice Mr. A. St. G. Walton, who proceeded on leave.
(2) On 9th July, 1958, Dr. A. H. R. Coombes, M.B.E., M.R.C.S., etc., was appointed
Assistant Director of Health Services, vice Dr. P. H. Teng.
(3) On 2nd February, 1959, Mr. J. M. Fraser, C.B.E., E.D., F.R.I.B.A., M.T.P.I., former Chairman of the Singapore Improvement Trust, was appointed Commissioner for Housing, an ex-officio member of the Authority, and its principal executive officer, vice Mr. G. T. Rowe, who proceeded on leave.
(4) On 24th February, 1959, Mr. A. St. G. Walton, was appointed Director of Social
Welfare, vice Mr. D. W. B. Baron.
(5) On 24th February, 1959, Dr. S. H. Moore was appointed Assistant Director of
Health Services, vice Dr. A. H. R. Coombes.
