(8) On 18th February, 1957, Mr. E. B. Teesdale, M.C., was appointed as Chairman,
Urban Council, in place of Mr. D. R. Holmes, M.B.E., M.C.
(9) On 31st March, 1957, Mr. P. C. Woo ceased to be a member, having lost his seat at the Urban Council elections held on 8th March, 1957. His place was subsequently taken by Mr. Hilton CHEONG-Leen.
(10) On 31st March, 1957, the Hon. Kwok Chan, O.B.E., and the Hon. Dhun Ruttonjee ceased to be members on their retirement from the Urban Council. Their places were subsequently taken by Mr. Y. K. Kan and Mr. A. de O. Sales.
