George Norris, clerk to Mr Markwink, gave evidence that the prisoner purchased the schooner at a public gale. Au order from Mr Markwick was produced stating that he had paid for her, nud directing her to be delivered to him. Faur Chit- nese bore evidence that the prisoner possessed $50 and borrowed $40 from fist witness to pay for L.ec.
