This route offers an opportunity of visiting Singapore and Pinang, re- maining a few days at Ceylon, thence to Madras or Calcutta in 34 days from leaving China. Steamers are also understood to ply between Colombo and Bombay Specie, Silk, and other Goods, may be forwarded by this route to Madras and Calentia, and will be retained on board the Steamer at Galle, until the arrival of the Suez Steamer for those places, when thog will he transhipped free of ex pense.
