A Duner was given on Monday to Mr. Boyd, to celebrate his return as a member for the district of Port Phillip. It was originally only intended that it should be given by a few of Mr. B.'s coun- trymen; but as soon as it became known that the dinner was in progress, there was a very great demand for tickets; and had the room admitted it there would have been at least a hundred gentle men present. Fifty was the number that sat down to dinner, of which all that need be said was, that it was at Petty's: all who know Petty's Hotel know that everything there is exactly what it ought to be.
