HE Contract hitherto in force for the publication of GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATIONS having ceased on the 21st instant. -Notice is hereby given, that the HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, this day established, will be hereafter the only Official Organ of Proclamations, Notifications, and all Public Papers of this Government.

BY the Honourable Lieutenant-Colonel WILLIAM CAINE, Lieutenant-Governor administering the Government of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, with the Advice of the Legislative Council of Hongkong.

AN ORDINANCE TO DECLARE CERTAIN ACTS OF THE IMPERIAL PARLIAMENT TO BE IN FORCE IN THIS COLONY.

Title.

[31st October, 1854.].

WHEREAS it is expedient that the Provisions of certain Acts of the Imperial Parliament should be adopted in this Colony:

Preamble.

Acts of Parlia-

I. Be it therefore enacted and ordained by the Honourable the Lieutenant- Governo administering the Government of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Le- ment enumerated gislative Council thereof, that from henceforth the several Acts of Parliament, the in annexed Sche- Titles of which are set forth in the Schedule hereunto annexed, shall, so far as

dule to be in force they are applicable to this Colony, be of force therein from and after the 31st Day

in the Colony. of October, 1854.

Passed the Legislative Council of Hongkong,

this 31st Day of October, 1854.
