Moon of the 4th year of Hien-fung, (8th October, 1855,) a notice unexpectedly came from Messrs | GASKELL & BROWN, Attorneys of CHUN MAK-SHE 2. OW-YEANG-SHUN, for buying and selling not clearly (i. c. unlawfully.) The case was not tried, but the House Rents were taken away (from OW-VEang-shun,) and he is now left without means to pay his Ground- rent. It is feared that some Chung-kwun (Law- schemers) will follow the example, and those who invest their money in land, may have their property taken away from them again.
Be this known to all.
