that a NEW SERIES of this Gazette will be published hereafter, to commence from the 7th instant, under a New Contract, and that

“THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE”

as before, be the only Official Organ for PROCLAMATIONS, NOTIFICATIONS, and PUBLIC PAPERS, of this Government.

TRUCTIONS TO REGISTRARS OF SHIPPING IN HER MAJESTY'S POSSESSIONS ABROAD. The Commissioners of Customs, with the approval of the Board of Trade, having directed that, with a view to the

pararate admeasurement of the Tonnage of Vessels under Rule 2, prescribed by Section 22 of The Merchant tors under Rule 2, Sec.

* Act. 1854," the Decimal Factor 0017 for Ships built of Wood, and '0018 for those built of Iron, be substituted 22. trs 18 and 0021 now in use, as directed by the said Section, the proper officers will be careful to govern cordingly in all future computations. Vessels already measured by Rule 2 must be remeasured agreeably ve modification of the Rule, on the application of their Owners or Agents, and delivery of the original certiti-
