An Ordinance for the Establishment of a Civil List.

Be it enacted and ordained by His Excellency the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
I. There shall be payable in every Year to Her Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors, 'out of the General Revenue of the Colony of Hongkong, the several Sums not exceeding in the whole the Sum of TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS for defraying the Expense of the several Salaries named in the Schedule A, to this Ordinance annexed, the said several Sums to be issued by the Colonial Treasurer in discharge of such Warrant or Warrants as shall be from Time to Time directed under the Hand of the Governor.
II. That this Ordinance shall take effect from the Commencement of the present Month.
SCHEDULE A. CIVIL LIST.
To be placed at the disposal of Her Majesty for the Salaries of the undermentioned Officers, if Her Majesty shall see fit, otherwise to recert to the General Revenue Service of the Colony.
