VI. In the construction of this Ordinance the word "Banker" shall include any Person or Persons, or Corporation, or Joint-Stock Company, acting as a Banker or Bankers.

An Ordinance for repealing Ordinance No. 5 of 1858.

Whereas it is expedient and necessary to provide by distinct Legislative Measures for the various Objects embraced by Ordinance No. 5 of 1858; and, in order to establish such Legislation on a proper Basis, it is necessary to repeal the said Ordinance: Be it therefore enacted and ordained by His Excellency the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof :-
I. That Ordinance No. 5 of 1858 be, and the same is, henceforth and hereby re- pealed.

His Excellency The Governor, with the sanction of His Excellency The Naval Commander-in- Chief, has been pleased to appoint HENRY G. THOMSETT, Esq., R.N., Acting Harbor Master of Hongkong till further notice.
