PRESENT:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR and all the Members, except the Auditor General on account of in-
disposition.
The Council met to-day, pursuant to adjournment.
The Minutes of the Council, held on the 20th February last, were read and approved.
The Bill, entitled An Ordinance empowering His Excellency The Governor to grant Conditional
Pardons in certain cases," was read a second time;-
And the Council went into Committee upon the said Bill. Section 1 was discussed, amended, and agreed to.
Section 2 was amended, and agreed to.
Preamble agreed to.
The Bill having gone through Committee, The Governor put the Question,--That this Bill do pass, and that the Title be—“ An Ordinance empowering His Excellency The Governor to grant Conditional Pardons in certain cases.”
Question put and passed,--the Ordinance being numbered- "No. 1 of 1860.”
Ordered, that the said Ordinance be published in to-day's Government Gazette.

second time-
And the Council went into Committee upon the said Bill.
Sections 1 to 4 inclusive, were read, and agreed to.
Section 5 was amended, and agreed to.
Section 6 was amended, and agreed to.

The Council having agreed to the amendments made in Committee, The Governor put the Question,-- That this Bill do pass, and that the Title be-" An Ordinance to amend the Law relating to Jurors and Witnesses.”
Question put and passed, the Ordinance being numbered-“ No. 2 of 1860.”
Ordered, that the said Ordinance be published in to-day's Government Gazette.
Read a first time a Bill, entitled "An Ordinance for amending and consolidating the Law respecting
Pawnbrokers."
The Council adjourned to Saturday, the 17th Instant, at Noon.
Read and approved, this 17th Day of March, 1860.
