IN THE VICE ADMIRALTY COURT OF HONGKONG. TOTICE.-An Intermediate Sitting of the above Court will be held on Monday the 12th Day of March, 1860, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon.
Attendu que l'ouverture d'une port dans cette partie du Royaume d'Annam N peut contribuer à hûter la conclusion de la guerre que l'obstination du gouverne- ment Cochinchinois, à refuser tout contract avec les Européens en même à les mal- traiter, a forcé la France de déclarer au roi de Cochinchine.
DÉCIDÉ: ARTICLE I.
La rivière de Saigon, depuis le cap St. Jacques jusqu'à la ville de Saigon, est ouverte, sous la protection de l'autorité française, aux navires de commerce de toutes les nations en paix avec la France, en se soumettant aux réglements de port qui leur seront signifiés par le bâtiment stationnaire à l'entrée de la rivière.
ARTICLE II.
Le blocus de tout autre point de la côte de Cochinchine, tel qu'il a été établi par la déclaration de l'amiral commandant en chef à la date de Septembre 1858, est rigoureusement maintenu.
ARTICLE III.
Toute introduction ou tentative d'introduction d'armes et de munitions de
guerre sur un point quelconque de la Côte, entrainera la saisie et la confiscation du navire qui se livrerait à ce commerce prohibé.
ARTICLE IV.
L'ouverture du port de Saigon étant essentiellement une mesure de guerre, est, de sa nature, révocable, si les circonstances de la guerre en rendent nécessaire la suppression.
