3. They will be issued in exchange for the Current Dollars of the Colony.

4. It must be understood that the Postage Labels of this Colony are alone available for the ment of postage on correspondence posted at the General Post Office in Hongkong, or the Agent thereof at Whampoa, Canton, Macao, Swatow, Amoy, Foochow foo, Shanghae, Ningpo, Nagasaki Yedo, and that except in the case of correspondence sent by Officers and Seamen, serving on be Her Majesty's Ships, British or Imperial Postage Stamps are not available for the payment of lett &c., addressed to the United Kingdom.

5. Their use will for the present be optional.

6. They may be used on correspondence to places to which the prepayment of postage is eit compulsory or optional, i.e., no credit will be given to these Stamps on correspondence addresse places to which the postage cannot be prepaid in Hongkong,

7. Correspondence insufficiently stamped will be returned to the writers with an indication the amount insufficient, except in the case of letters, &c., originating at any of the Agencies of Hongkong Post Office, which will, if addressed to the United Kingdom, be sent on charged with deficient amount of postage and a fine of 1s.

8. The Labels are to be placed on the upper right hand corner of the correspondence, excep cases where they may be used in payment of "Late Fees" when the Stamp representing the Late is to be placed on the lower left hand corner of the correspondence.

this Office to have their Boats examined prior to such License being granted.

Present holders are also reminded that, their Licenses expire on the 31st instant.
