Whereas early yesterday morning Police Constable No. 339 LALL KHAN, while in the execution of his duty at Wanchai, was wilfully murdered by some person or persons unknown:

Notice is hereby given, that

A FREE PARDON AND A REWARD OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS will be given to any Person,-the actual Perpetrators of the Murder excepted,--who shall give such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of one or more of the Guilty Parties.

In the matter of STEPHEN MICHAEL CARAPIET, deceased,

THE Creditors of Stephen Michael Carapiet, late of Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, Merchant, trading as “Carapict and Company," who died on or about the Thirty-first day of July, 4.D. 1863, at Victoria aforesaid, are to send par- ticulars of their Claims or Debts to the Office of Mr. II. J. Tarrant, 395 Queen's Road, Victoria, Hongkong, (acting for Mr. F. W. Mitchell, the Executor of the said Estate, who has obtained Probate), on or before the First day of January, A.D. 1864, (addressed outside "in re Carapiet deceased "); or, in default thereof, the Executor will, after the said First day of January, A.D. 1864, proceed to distribute the Assets of the said Stephen Michael Carapiet, deceased. And all Debtors are requested to make payment without delay to the undersigned.
