THE Supreme Court will sit on Monday, the Seventeenth day of August, A.D. 1863, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, for the Hearing of the Appeal, in which Sassoon and others are Appellants, and A. Barton is Respondent.
The Court will hold a Nisi Prius, sitting on Friday, the Twenty-first day of August, A.D. 1863, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, for the trial of Fernandes vs. Murrow.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF HONGKONG.
INSOLVENCE JURISDICTION. In the Matter of the Insolvency of PESTONJEE DINSHAWJEE, of Victoria, Merchant and Broker.
OTICE is hereby given, that the Estate and Effects of the said Insolvent have been vested in the Provisional Assignee by order of this Court; and that the Schedule of the above named Insolvent has been filed in the said Court, and that it is ordered that the said Insolvent be brought up for examination at the Supreme Court House, Victoria, on Thursday, the Tenth day of Sep- tember, Oue thousand Eight hundred and sixty-three, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon; and in case any creditor intends to oppose the discharge of such Insolvent, he must give notice in writing of such his intention to the Court and such Insolvent two clear days prior to the day of hearing.

J. Tarrant, 395 Queen's Road, Victoria, Hongkong, (acting for Mr. F. W. Mitchell, the Executor of the said Estate, who has obtained Probate), on or before the First day of January, A.D. 1864, (addressed outside "in re Carapiet
deceased "); or, in default thereof, the Executor will, after the said First day of January, A.D. 1864, proceed to distribute the Assets of the said Stephen Michael Carapiet, deceased, And all Debtors are requested to make payment without delay to the undersigned.

OTTAWA, Captain BEASLEY, with Her Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this for the above places on Friday, the 28th August, 1863, at 2 P,M,
CARGO will be received on board until 5 P.M. on the 26th August, SPECIE until Noon on the 27th; and PARCELS until 5 P.M. on the 26th.
For particulars regarding FREIGHT and PAS- SAGE, apply at the PENINSULAR & ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY's Office, Hong- kong.
Contents and Value of Packages are required.
Passengers going to London are informed that the Company will convey, free of charge, from Marseilles to London, their Baggage to the extent allowed by the regulation.
Cargo and Specie will be registered for London as well as for Marseilles, and accepted in transit through Marseilles for the principal places of Europe.
The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- mium of 1 per cent upon Merchandize, and 3 per Paris, London, and Helland, and proportionally cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyons,
for places this side of Sucz,
Cargo will be received on board until 4 P.M., on the 20th of August; Specie and Parcels until 5 o'clock P.M. on the 21st.
As the Manifests of Merchandize have to be closed on the evening of the 21st, the Shippers are requested to present their Shipping Orders before 4 P.M. of said day; for past that time, no more Bills of Lading will be delivered, except after the departure of the Steamer.
A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages destined beyond Suez is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be furnished by the Shippers to the Agent with the Bills of Lading; and the Company will not be responsible for any consequence or prejudice which may ensue from an incorrect declaration. For particulars respecting Freight and Passage, apply at the Company's Office, Queen's Road.

A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- Pelves responsible for my Dete it or Preju-1 branch of their business, as Merchbliss and

Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Condition of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.
