It is hereby notified that, as it is obligatory to take delivery of the Vessel purchased by this Government for conversion into a Convict Hulk, it has become necessary to fill up the Office of Superintendent from the applications already received, and His Excellency the Acting Governor has accordingly been pleased to appoint.
Mr. W. R. WILLIAMSON
to be Superintendent of Convicts on the said Hulk and on Stone Cutters' Island.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Notice is hereby given that the Sying-poon Market will be ready for occupation on the 1st of April next.
Parties desirous of obtaining Stalls are required to register their names at the Office of the Surveyor General, and on the 25th of March, at 3 P.M. at the said Market parties so having their names registered will be entitled to draw lots for Stalls in accordance with the provisions of the Markets' Ordinance, No. 9 of 1858.
Seventy-two Stalls will be available in the Market.
