The Public Garden having been established for the recreation of the inhabitants of Hongkong, all respectable persons will be admitted subject to the following regulations, which will be altered here- after as circumstances may render necessary.
1.-No person will be allowed to walk on the grass or to quit the walks.
2. It is strictly prohibited to pull or handle flowers, or to do any injury to any plant or tree: and persons in charge of Children are required to see that this rule is observed by them. 3. Chinese Mechanics and labourers will not be allowed to use the Garden as a thoroughfare. 4.-No admission will be allowed to Chairs and Chair Coolies, or to Dogs unless led. 5.—The Garden will be open from 5 A.M. to 8 P.M. from April 1st to September 30th, and from
6 A.M. to 7 P.M. from October 1st to March 31st.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

In terms of Section I. of Ordinance No. 8 of 1862, His Excellency the GOVERNOR is pleased to set apart the lower portion of the Court House, as the place where the business of the General Post Office shall be conducted from and after the 1st August next, as a temporary measure and until further notice.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION,
Tenders will be received at the Surveyor General's Office on or before Monday, the 15th Proximo, for the erection of a Sea Wall at Kowloon. Plans and Specification may be seen on application at the Surveyor General's Office between the hours of 11 A.M. and 3 P.M.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
It is hereby notified to the Owners of Marine Lots lately purchased at Kowloon, that Paragraph I. of the Special Conditions of Sale with regard to filling in within Six Months will be strictly enforced. The Sea Wall will be commenced without delay and it is of the utmost importance that the filling in should be carried on at the same time, as the time allowed by the Military Authorities for the removal of the soil within the Cantonments is limited.
Those who commence filling in immediately will be able to obtain earth close to their Lots, whereas those who delay will be unavoidably subject to inconvenience and expense.
