In terms of Section I. of Ordinance No. 8 of 1862, His Excellency the GOVERNOR is pleased to set apart the lower portion of the Court House, as the place where the business of the General Post Office shall be conducted from and after the 1st August next, as a temporary measure and until further notice.

Tenders will be received at the Surveyor General's Office on or before Monday, the 15th Proximo, for the erection of a Sea Wall at Kowloon. Plans and Specification may be seen on application at the Surveyor General's Office between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified to the Owners of Marine Lots lately purchased at Kowloon, that Paragraph I. of the Special Conditions of Sale with regard to filling in within Six Months will be strictly enforced. The Sea Wall will be commenced without delay and it is of the utmost importance that the filling in should be carried on at the same time, as the time allowed by the Military Authorities for the removal of the soil within the Cantonments is limited.
Those who commence filling in immediately will be able to obtain earth close to their Lots, whereas those who delay will be unavoidably subject to inconvenience and expense.
