HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Ng-lung-cheong and Wong Attuck against the above named Chim-a-hock, to recover the sum of One Hundred and Fifty-eight Dollars and Forty-three Cents for money payable by the De- fendant to the Plaintiffs for money paid by the Plaintiffs for the Defendant at his request and it being alleged that the said Chim-a-hock does not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued re- turnable on the Twenty-fifth day of April ins- tant, wherein Chim-a-fook of Hongkong, Ma- riner, is Garnishce.
Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action, the said Chim-a-hock or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island inti- tuled An Ordinance to provide for and regulate Process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony," the said Attachment may be dissolved.

HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Charles Butler, Felix Pryor and John George Megaw against the above named Thomas Parker to recover damages for the wrongful detention and conversion of the Plaintiffs' goods, and it being alleged that the said Thomas Parker does not reside within the Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Ninth day of May next, wherein Thomas Dickson is garnishee.
Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action, the said Thomas Parker or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and re- gulate Process in actions at Law against persons absent from this Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.

ORIENTAL BANK CORPORATION.
T having come to the knowledge of the Officers of the Corporation in China that the $25 notes of the Bank have been imitated, and that several of these forged notes have got into circu- lation: It has been resolved to cancel the present issue of $25 notes and issue new ones of a different design. In accordance with this resolution all persons are cautioned against taking any of the $25 notes of the Bank, and all holders of such notes are requested to present them at the Bank's Office in Hongkong where they will receive dol- lars for them.

N Saturday, the 26th April, at Noon, the Company's Steam-ship "CAMBODGE,” Commandant DE BOVIS, H.I.M.N., with Her Britannic Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this Port for the above places.
Passengers going to London are informed that the Company will convey, free of charge, from Marseilles to London, their Baggage to the extent allowed by the regulation.
Cargo and Specie will be registered for London as well as for Marseilles, and accepted in transit through Marseilles for the principal places of Europe.
The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- mium of 1 per cent upon Merchandize, and & per cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyons, Paris, London, and Holland, and proportionally for places this side of Suez.
Cargo will be received on hoard until 4 P.M., on the 23rd of April; Specie and Parcels until 5 o'clock P.M. on the 25th.
A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages destined beyond Suez is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be furnished by the Shippers to the Agent with the Bills of Lading; and the Company will not be responsible for any consequence or prejudice which may ensue from an incorrect declaration. For particulars respecting Freight and Passage, apply at the Company's Office, Queen's Road.
