It having oeen represented that Vessels frequently leave this Port for Bangkok and other places without the notice required by Clause 15 of Ordinance 8 of 1862 having been given to this Department, it is hereby notified that all persons who do not comply with the requirements of that Clause of the Ordinance will be proceeded against for the recovery of the penalty imposed for the offence.

POST OFFICE NOTIFICATION,

With reference to the Notification dated 22nd December, 1862, which was published in the Government Gazette No. 53 of the 27th December, 1863, it is hereby notified that on and after the 1st May next correspondence addressed to India to be forwarded by Private Vessels, will be despatched unpaid, postage at the rate of 4 pence per ounce letter being levied only upon correspondence received by such Vessels.
