GEORGE REINHOLD LAMMERT and JAMES ATKINSON, Plaintiffs,

J. RITCHIE, Defendant. HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named George Reinhold Lammert and James Atkinson trading under the style or firm of "Lammert, Atkinson and Company" against the above named J. Ritchie to recover the sum of Eleven Hundred and Thirteen Dollars and Thirty Cents for goods bargained and sold by the Plaintiffs to the Defend- ant and it being alleged that the said J. Ritchie does not reside within the Island or its Dependen- cies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Fourteenth day of March next, wherein Antonio José das Freitas is Gar- nishees.

Notice is hereby given that if any time before final judgment in this action, the said J. Ritchie or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea re- quired by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate Pro- cess in actions at Law against persons absent from this Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.

*A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Condition of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.
