Under Instructions from the Right Honorable The SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES, His Excellency the ACTING GOVERNOR is pleased to direct that the Pension Minute of 5th May, 1862, published in the Government Gazette of 29th November, 1862,) be amended by adding to the 16th Netion the following words: "Absences in excess of the period for which half Salary may be allowed -under the 115th Colonial Regulation will not count as Service;" and the Pension Minute is hereby mended accordingly.

His Excellency the ACTING GOVERNOR has been pleased to recognize, provisionally, Don AGUSTIN RODRIGUEZ, H. C. M.'s Vice-Consul at Shanghai, as in charge of the Spanish Consulate at Hongkong, Juring the temporary absence of Don José DE AGUILAR from the Colony.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

With reference to so much of Government Notification No. 94 of the 17th September, 1862, as relates to the Agra and United Service Bank, that Bank having under the sanction of the Board of Trade altered its designation to the Agra and Masterman's Bank, Limited, it is hereby notified that the Notes of the Bank issued under the latter title will be received at the Colonial Treasury, and by the Collectors of Revenue, in payment of Government Dues.
